The walking dog harness exerts pressure under the front legs of the dog so that they cannot pull on the leash. When they pull it causes discomfort under their front legs. The tightening of the leash is loosened when they stop pulling.
There is another harness that is quite useful when traveling with your dog in the car. It’s called the body harness. If possible just as it is with a child seat, it’s best to place the dog in the rear seat if possible and fixed the harness strap onto the seat belt for safety. Always make sure to read the instructions for the proper use of the body harness.

What I especially like about the body harness when it is attached to the seat belt is the fact that if something were to happen, for instance somebody suddenly opening the door, the dog would not jump out into traffic or some other dangerous situation. Another good reason to have the dog in a body harness when traveling with you in a car is to prevent accidents that would arise from them suddenly jumping on your lap while driving.
